Chiropractors and physical therapists

Social media content for Long Island chiropractors and physical therapists

Quick answer

Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY, makes monthly social media content for chiropractic and physical therapy practices across Long Island: the clinician on a movement, the space, and the first visit. Every claim stays inside the scope of the license, and patients appear only with written authorization. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.

Updated

A patient in pain wants to know two things before booking: will this person understand my problem, and what will we actually do. A clinician demonstrating one movement, explaining one common complaint, or walking through an evaluation answers both. We film your chiropractors and therapists, the treatment floor, and patients who have authorized it, and hand over a month of Reels, photos, and captions.

Two kinds of claims catch these practices out. A chiropractic license in New York does not cover treating conditions such as diabetes or heart disease, so content does not suggest it. And no referral needed is true for a physical therapist only within the limits Education Law section 6731 sets. We write inside those lines, with no promise of a result. You post the pieces, or hand them to whoever runs your accounts.

Through the year

A practice year, in content

Injuries and appointments follow the seasons. Pieces go out ahead of each.

  1. January

New year training plans, deductibles resetting, and starting a program without getting hurt.

  2. Spring

Spring sports, the first runs and rounds of golf, and yard work strains.

  3. Summer

Beach and boating season, summer leagues, and travel with a sore back.

  4. Fall

Fall sports, race training, and workstation setup as people head back to desks.

  5. Winter

Snow shoveling, slips on ice, and the last visits before benefits reset.

The work

What we make for a chiropractic or PT practice

Pieces that show how the clinician thinks and works.

  • One movement, done right

A clinician demonstrating one exercise or stretch, with the common mistake and the fix, framed as education rather than a prescription.

  • The first visit

What an evaluation involves, what to wear, and how a plan of care is set.

  • The clinician

One chiropractor or therapist at a time, named with their degree and license exactly as they hold them.

  • The floor

The treatment tables, the gym, and the equipment, filmed before the first patient.

  • A patient's story, with consent

A patient who has authorized it in writing, on getting back to what they do, with a reasonable disclaimer on the result.

  • Common questions

Do I need a referral, how many visits, and what insurance usually asks for, answered as your practice actually works.

How we film a chiropractic or PT practice

Rules we keep on every clinic shoot, on top of the overview's.

  • Patients appear only after the practice has collected their written authorization, and our release is signed as well.
  • Treatment is shown in the hands of the licensed clinician it belongs to, and an aide is never captioned as a therapist.
  • No piece names a disease or condition the license does not cover, and none promises a cure or a number of visits.
  • Exercise pieces are framed as education, with a line to see a clinician before starting.
  • Charts, screens, and the schedule stay out of frame.
  • Any line about seeing a therapist without a referral carries the limits the practice gives us.

A content month

What a month looks like

Examples of how each tier tends to fill for a chiropractic or PT practice. The content calendar sets the real mix around your schedule.

  1. Partner

    $1,500 per month

One content day, usually a slower morning. Four to six finished pieces, for example three movement pieces, a first visit walkthrough, and a clinician introduction, delivered within 5 business days.

  2. Partner+

    $2,750 per month

Two content days, one on movement and treatment and one on the team and consenting patients. One long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, such as a full evaluation explained step by step, ten short form pieces, and three to four static or carousel posts. 3 business day turnaround.

  3. Flagship

    $4,000 per month

A weekly presence for a practice with several clinicians or locations: 16+ finished pieces a month, event coverage included, such as a running clinic or a community workshop, and 48 hour turnaround.

Your side

What your practice provides

We do the planning, filming, editing, and captions. These stay with you.

  • Clinicians' names, degrees, and licenses exactly as they hold them.
  • Written authorization from any patient who appears.
  • Your practice's own wording on referrals, insurance, and the number of visits.
  • A clinician's review of every exercise piece before it is posted.
  • Someone to post the finished pieces and answer the comments and messages they bring in.

Rules

Rules that shape chiropractic and PT content

What an ad may claim, what each license covers, direct access, and patients on camera.

  • The Regents' rule on advertising

For every profession licensed under Title VIII of the Education Law, 8 NYCRR 29.1(b)(12) treats as unprofessional conduct advertising that is false, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading, that guarantees any service, that makes a claim about services, products, or prices the licensee cannot substantiate, or that claims professional superiority the licensee cannot substantiate. So painless, best, and guaranteed stay out of a script unless you can prove them.

  • Chiropractic claims stay inside the license

New York's Education Law section 6551 defines chiropractic as detecting and correcting, by manual or mechanical means, structural imbalance, distortion, or subluxations in the human body to remove nerve interference connected to the vertebral column. It excludes treating infectious diseases, cardiovascular-renal or cardiopulmonary diseases, surgical conditions of the abdomen, diabetes, and neoplasms, and excludes prescribing drugs. So no piece suggests an adjustment treats any of them.

  • No referral needed has limits

Education Law section 6731(d) lets a licensed physical therapist treat a patient without a referral for ten visits or thirty days, whichever comes first, if the therapist has practiced full time for at least three years, and requires written notice that a health plan or insurer may not cover the treatment without a referral. A piece that says you can see a therapist without a referral carries those limits, worded with the practice.

  • Patients on camera need written authorization

The same rule allows testimonials, demonstrations, dramatizations, and other portrayals of professional practice only if the patient or client expressly authorizes the portrayal in writing, appropriate disclosure prevents misleading information about who the patient is, reasonable disclaimers go with any statement or result, and no fictional testimonial is used. An actor can play a scene, but never a patient giving a testimonial.

  • Health claims need evidence

The FTC's Health Products Compliance Guidance, December 2022, says health-related claims need competent and reliable scientific evidence, and that testimonials reporting results more dramatic than patients can generally expect are likely to be deceptive. A patient's recovery is their own story, not proof of what a treatment does.

  • Patient and client privacy stays with you

Under 45 CFR 160.103, a business associate is a person who creates, receives, maintains, or transmits protected health information for a covered entity, or provides certain services that involve the covered entity disclosing it. Whether your practice is a covered entity, and what any vendor arrangement requires, is for your counsel. We do not give HIPAA advice, we do not ask for or receive patient records, and screens, charts, and files stay out of frame.

A plain reading of each rule with its source, not legal advice. We are not your compliance department, and we do not pretend to be. Your compliance team or counsel has the final word on every piece.

Questions

Questions chiropractors and therapists ask us

Who makes social media content for chiropractors and physical therapists on Long Island?
Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY. We film clinicians, the treatment floor, and consenting patients for chiropractic and physical therapy practices across Suffolk and Nassau County, and hand over a month of finished Reels, photos, and captions. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
How much does monthly content cost for a chiropractic or PT practice?
Partner is $1,500, Partner+ is $2,750, and Flagship is $4,000 per month, each with a six-month minimum term, then month to month. Partner is 1 content day and 4 to 6 finished pieces a month. Partner+ is 2 content days, 1 long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, 10 short form pieces, and 3 to 4 static or carousel posts. Flagship is a weekly presence with 16+ pieces and event coverage included. The tiers are the same for a chiropractic or physical therapy practice as for any other business.
Can we say patients do not need a referral?
Only with the limits. Education Law section 6731(d) allows a physical therapist with at least three years of full-time practice to treat without a referral for ten visits or thirty days, whichever comes first, with written notice about insurance coverage. The caption says that, in your practice's words.
Can our chiropractor talk about conditions beyond back pain?
Within the license, yes. Education Law section 6551 excludes treating conditions such as diabetes, infectious disease, and heart and lung disease from chiropractic, so pieces stay on the spine, posture, movement, and the conditions the practice actually treats.
Can you film exercise videos people follow at home?
Yes, framed as education rather than a prescription, reviewed by a clinician, and with a line to see one before starting. A movement that is wrong for someone is the risk, so the piece says who it is for and who should ask first.
Do you post to our accounts or run our ads?
No. We make the content and hand it over ready to post: the finished files and their captions, cut for each platform, in a shared folder. You post them, or pass them to whoever runs your accounts. We do not post, boost posts, or run ads, and we do not promise follower numbers.
