Drone photography and aerial video on Long Island
Core Media Co. is a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY, and drone is included in three of our five listing packages, for listings across Suffolk and Nassau County. Every flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot. Aerial photos come with Photos + Air, $495 per listing, and from the Full Package, $695, aerial footage is cut into the listing video.
We are plain about the limits. Wind, rain, and the airspace around Long Island's airports can rule out a flight, and some places, such as state parkland, have their own rules about where a drone can take off. We check the address and the forecast before the day and tell you up front if a location or a date cannot be flown.

An aerial earns its place when the land around the house is part of what a buyer is paying for.
- The size and shape of the lot, and where the house sits on it.
- Water: the frontage, any dock, and how close the harbor, the bay, or the Sound really is.
- The roofline, the pool, the patio, and the yard as one picture.
- The approach to a house set back from the road on a long drive, and the tree cover around it.
- Where the property sits relative to a village, a harbor, or a main road, more clearly than a map.

- Photos + Air, $495 per listing: professional photos, a 2D floor plan, and aerial photos.
- Full Package, $695: everything in Photos + Air, plus a listing video with aerial footage cut in.
- Signature, $1,250: the Full Package plus twilight, a full property tour of roughly ten minutes, and social clips pulled from the tour.
- Aerials are edited with the rest of the set, color matched to the ground photos, and delivered in the same shared folder.
Weather and airspace
When a flight is not possible
A drone flight depends on the weather, the airspace, and local rules, so we check all three before we promise one.
- Airspace around JFK, LaGuardia, Republic, MacArthur, and the smaller airfields can require an authorization or rule out a flight, especially in parts of Nassau County.
- Wind and rain can ground a flight, and we tell you before the shoot if the forecast rules it out.
- State parks and some other public land restrict where a drone can take off or fly, so for a listing beside parkland we plan the flight from the property itself.
- Every flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot.

- How much does drone photography cost on Long Island?
- At Core Media Co., drone comes in the listing packages: Photos + Air is $495 per listing with professional photos, a 2D floor plan, and aerial photos. The Full Package, $695, adds a listing video with aerial footage, and Signature, $1,250, adds twilight and a full property tour. The price does not change by town.
- Is your drone pilot FAA certified?
- Yes. Every flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot, the certificate the FAA requires for commercial drone work.
- Can you fly a drone near an airport on Long Island?
- Sometimes. Parts of Long Island, especially in Nassau County, sit inside airspace shaped by JFK, LaGuardia, Republic, and MacArthur, where a flight can need an authorization or cannot happen at all. We check the exact address when you book and tell you before the shoot if the location is affected.
- What happens if it is too windy to fly on the shoot day?
- We watch the forecast and tell you before the shoot if wind or rain rules the aerials out, so we can agree on another time for the flight or go ahead without it.
- Can I book drone photos on their own?
- Drone comes as part of the listing packages rather than on its own: aerial photos from Photos + Air, and aerial video from the Full Package upward. Each of those also includes the professional photos and the 2D floor plan.
