Bars and wine bars
Social media content for Long Island bars and wine bars
Quick answer
Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY, makes monthly social media content for bars and wine bars across Long Island: cocktails, the pour, the bartenders, and the room at night. Drink specials follow the State Liquor Authority's pricing rules, and no one under 21 appears near a drink. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
Updated
A bar sells a feeling as much as a drink: the glow behind the bottles, the sound of the shaker, a glass of wine catching the light. We film the build of your signature cocktails, the pour, the bartenders who make the place, and the room once the lights come down, and hand over a month of Reels, photos, and captions.
Alcohol content carries more rules than food. Drink specials have to stay inside the State Liquor Authority's pricing rules, a brand cannot pay for your content, and anything you later boost becomes an alcohol ad with Meta's age rules. We build every piece with that in mind. You post the pieces, or hand them to whoever runs your accounts.

Pieces built on the pour and the people behind the bar.

Wine into the glass, the tap, the bottle coming off the back bar, filmed for the sound as much as the picture.
The bartender

How we film a bar
Rules we keep on every bar shoot, on top of the restaurant ones.
- No one under 21 appears in a piece with a drink, and anyone who looks young is left out unless their age is confirmed.
- No one is shown drunk, drinking fast, or doing shots for the camera.
- Guests are kept unrecognizable unless they sign a release.
- Drink specials are worded as you set them, and we flag any wording that looks like an unlimited drink offer or a price below half the regular one.
- No supplier pays for, supplies, or directs your content. We work for the bar.
- Music is licensed for business use, or the piece runs without it.

Partner+
$2,750 per month
Two content days, one on drinks and food and one on a busy night. One long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, such as the bar manager walking through the new list, ten short form pieces, and three to four static or carousel posts. 3 business day turnaround.

Your side
What your bar provides
We do the planning, filming, editing, and captions. These stay with you.
- Drinks built by your bartenders as they are served, and a window before the night gets busy.
- Staff willing to be on camera, each with a signed release.
- Drink prices and specials exactly as you want them published, checked against the SLA's rules.
- Whoever posts and boosts your pieces, and sets any ad's age targeting.
- Someone to post the finished pieces and answer the comments and messages they bring in.
Rules
Rules that shape bar content
The State Liquor Authority on drink specials and suppliers, Meta on alcohol ads, and consent.
Drink specials in your posts
The State Liquor Authority says on-premises licensees are prohibited from offering, selling, serving, or delivering an unlimited number of drinks for a fixed price during a set period, and from advertising, promoting, or charging a price for drinks that it sees as an attempt to get around that law. It has generally regarded prices below half the regular price as such an attempt, and gives a $1 beer special, when beers are ordinarily $5, as a violation. So a piece about a special says the price you set, and we flag anything that reads as unlimited or below half price.
A supplier cannot pay for your content
The SLA says the gifts and services law prohibits manufacturers and wholesalers from giving something of value to retailers, and that the Authority presumes anything they give a retailer is meant to induce the retailer to buy their product. A distributor or brand paying for a bar's video is the kind of thing that law covers, so we are hired and paid by the bar.
Boosting a post makes it an alcohol ad
Meta's Advertising Standards say ads that promote or reference alcohol must comply with all applicable local laws, count venues whose primary business model depends on alcohol sales as alcohol promotion, and set the minimum age for alcohol ads in the United States at 21. We do not run ads, but whoever boosts a piece for you has to target it to 21 and over.
Guests and staff on camera
New York's Civil Rights Law section 50 makes it a misdemeanor to use a living person's name, portrait, picture, likeness, or voice for advertising or trade without their written consent, and section 51 lets that person sue to stop the use and recover damages. A diner at the next table is covered as much as your staff, so anyone recognizable in a piece has signed a release, and everyone else is kept unrecognizable.
Music needs a license for business use
Meta's Music Guidelines, which apply on Instagram and Facebook, say that using music for commercial or non-personal purposes is prohibited unless you have the appropriate licenses. We cut every piece to music licensed for it, or to none.

Questions
Questions bars and wine bars ask us
- Who makes social media content for bars on Long Island?
- Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY. We film cocktails, pours, bartenders, and the room at night for bars and wine bars across Suffolk and Nassau County, and hand over a month of finished Reels, photos, and captions. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
- How much does monthly content cost for a bar or wine bar?
- Partner is $1,500, Partner+ is $2,750, and Flagship is $4,000 per month, each with a six-month minimum term, then month to month. Partner is 1 content day and 4 to 6 finished pieces a month. Partner+ is 2 content days, 1 long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, 10 short form pieces, and 3 to 4 static or carousel posts. Flagship is a weekly presence with 16+ pieces and event coverage included. The tiers are the same for a bar or wine bar as for any other business.
- Can we promote happy hour and drink specials in our videos?
- Yes, inside the State Liquor Authority's rules. It prohibits offering unlimited drinks for a fixed price over a set period, and has generally regarded drink prices below half the regular price as an attempt to get around that law. We put your prices in exactly as you set them and flag wording that looks like either.
- Can a liquor or wine brand pay for our content?
- That is a question for the SLA or your attorney before anyone pays. The SLA says the gifts and services law prohibits manufacturers and wholesalers from giving something of value to retailers. We are hired and paid by the bar, and no supplier directs what we film.
- Will you film our customers drinking?
- Not recognizably without a signed release, and never anyone under 21, anyone who looks drunk, or anyone doing shots for the camera. The room reads as busy and warm from hands, backs, glasses, and soft focus.
- Do you post to our accounts or run our ads?
- No. We make the content and hand it over ready to post: the finished files and their captions, cut for each platform, in a shared folder. You post them, or pass them to whoever runs your accounts. We do not post, boost posts, or run ads, and we do not promise follower numbers.
