Social media content for Long Island golf courses and country clubs

Quick answer

Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY, makes monthly social media content for golf courses and country clubs across Long Island: the course through the season, the clubhouse and dining room, the pros, and tournaments. Members appear only with their written consent, and the drone never flies over a golfer. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.

Updated

A course sells on the look of a hole at first light, the clubhouse on a summer evening, and the people who run the place. A private club also sells to the next member family and the next outing chair. We film the course, the clubhouse, the dining room, the pros on lessons, and the club's own events, and hand over a month of Reels, photos, and captions.

Members joined a club, not a marketing plan. Many clubs keep members off camera unless they opt in, so we film the course at dawn and between groups, the clubhouse before service, and only the members who sign. You post the pieces, or hand them to whoever runs the club's accounts.

Through the year

A golf year, in content

The course has a season and the club has a calendar. The pieces follow both.

  1. Late winter

Membership season: the club, the course, and the pros, posted while families decide on the year.

  2. Opening and spring

First tee times, the course greening up, aeration explained, and lesson programs starting.

  3. Summer

The course at its best at first light, junior programs, club championships, and evenings on the terrace.

  4. Outing season

Charity and corporate outings from late spring into fall, with the course, the setup, and the awards dinner.

  5. Fall and the off-season

Fall color on the back nine, the last events, the simulator or indoor season, and holiday dining.

The work

What we make for a course or club

Pieces that show the course, the club, and the people who run it.

  • The hole at first light

A signature hole from the tee box to the green, filmed at dawn before the first group, with aerials where airspace allows. Every drone flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot.

  • The pro on a fix

Your teaching pro on one fault and one drill, in a minute, with a student who has signed a release.

  • The superintendent's work

Mowing patterns, greens rolling, aeration, and what the crew does before anyone tees off.

  • The clubhouse and dining

The grill room, the terrace, and the dining room, filmed before service.

  • Tournament day

The setup, the shotgun start, the leaderboard, and the awards, with the players who agreed to be filmed.

  • Membership

What a membership includes, the practice facilities, and junior programs, with terms as the club writes them.

On site

How we film a course or club

Rules we keep on every course shoot, on top of the overview's.

  • Members and guests appear only with a signed release, and the club's own photo policy comes first.
  • The course is filmed at first light or between groups, never by holding up play.
  • The drone flies beside players, never over them, and only where the airspace near Republic, MacArthur, Gabreski, and East Hampton allows.
  • Carts stay on paths, and the crew stays off greens and out of a player's line.
  • Children in junior programs are filmed only with a parent's or guardian's written consent.
  • Membership prices and terms are worded exactly as the club gives them to us.

A content month

What a month looks like

Examples of how each tier tends to fill for a course or club. The content calendar sets the real mix around your tee sheet.

  1. Partner

    $1,500 per month

One content day from first light. Four to six finished pieces, for example a signature hole, a pro tip, a superintendent piece, and a carousel of the clubhouse, delivered within 5 business days.

  2. Partner+

    $2,750 per month

Two content days, one on the course and one on the club and its people. One long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, such as a hole by hole tour with the head pro, ten short form pieces, and three to four static or carousel posts. 3 business day turnaround.

  3. Flagship

    $4,000 per month

A weekly presence through the season, with event coverage included, such as the club championship or a charity outing: 16+ finished pieces a month and 48 hour turnaround.

Your side

What your club provides

We do the planning, filming, editing, and captions. These stay with you.

  • The club's photo policy, and members, guests, and staff willing to be filmed, each with a signed release.
  • Course access at first light, and a cart and a contact for the day.
  • Membership, outing, and banquet terms exactly as you want them published.
  • The charity's own registration and wording for any outing piece that asks people to give.
  • Someone to post the finished pieces and answer the comments and messages they bring in.

Rules

Rules that shape golf club content

Members on camera, drones over players, charity outings, and music.

  • Members and guests on camera

New York's Civil Rights Law section 50 makes it a misdemeanor to use a living person's name, portrait, picture, likeness, or voice for advertising or trade without their written consent, or a parent's for a minor, and section 51 lets that person sue to stop the use and recover damages. A member on the eighteenth green is still a person who has not agreed to an ad, so only members who sign appear.

  • No drone over a golfer

Under 14 CFR 107.39, a small drone may not fly over a person who is not directly participating in the flight, unless they are under a covered structure or in a stationary vehicle, or the operation meets a subpart D category. A player in the fairway is neither, so aerials are flown before play or beside it. Every drone flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot. Core Media Co. is fully insured, and the coverage includes drone work.

  • Charity outings ask for money

New York's Executive Law section 172 says a charitable organization that intends to solicit contributions in the state shall register with the attorney general before any solicitation, unless an exemption applies, and the IRS requires a written disclosure when a donor pays more than $75 partly as a gift and partly for goods or services, such as a round and a dinner. A piece that asks people to sign up for a charity outing uses the charity's own wording on both.

  • Music needs a license for business use

Meta's Music Guidelines, which apply on Instagram and Facebook, say that using music for commercial or non-personal purposes is prohibited unless you have the appropriate licenses. We cut every piece to music licensed for it, or to none.

A plain reading of each rule with its source, not legal advice. We are not your compliance department, and we do not pretend to be. Your compliance team or counsel has the final word on every piece.

Questions

Questions golf courses and clubs ask us

Who makes social media content for golf courses on Long Island?
Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY. We film the course, the clubhouse, the pros, and club events for public courses, private country clubs, and practice facilities across Suffolk and Nassau County, and hand over a month of finished Reels, photos, and captions. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
How much does monthly content cost for a golf club?
Partner is $1,500, Partner+ is $2,750, and Flagship is $4,000 per month, each with a six-month minimum term, then month to month. Partner is 1 content day and 4 to 6 finished pieces a month. Partner+ is 2 content days, 1 long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, 10 short form pieces, and 3 to 4 static or carousel posts. Flagship is a weekly presence with 16+ pieces and event coverage included. The tiers are the same for a golf course or country club as for any other business.
Our members value their privacy. How do you handle that?
We follow the club's photo policy first. The course is filmed at first light and between groups, the clubhouse before service, and the only members in a piece are the ones who signed a release, which New York's Civil Rights Law section 50 requires for advertising use.
Can you fly a drone over the course?
Over the course, yes, where airspace allows. Over players, no: 14 CFR 107.39 bars flying a small drone over people who are not part of the flight, so aerials are flown before play or beside it. Every drone flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot.
Can you cover our charity outing?
Yes. On Flagship, event coverage is included, and any club can book an outing on its own as event coverage. Pieces that ask people to give use the charity's wording, since New York requires charities to register before soliciting and the IRS has its own disclosure rule for gifts over $75.
Do you post to our accounts or run our ads?
No. We make the content and hand it over ready to post: the finished files and their captions, cut for each platform, in a shared folder. You post them, or pass them to whoever runs your accounts. We do not post, boost posts, or run ads, and we do not promise follower numbers.
