Commack is an inland hamlet in western Suffolk County, split between the Town of Smithtown and the Town of Huntington. There is no harbor here and no water frontage. The place is defined by its roads: Jericho Turnpike and Veterans Memorial Highway carry long commercial corridors of shopping centers, offices, and medical buildings, and the Long Island Expressway, the Northern State Parkway, and the Sunken Meadow Parkway all run through or along the hamlet.
