Painters
Social media content for Long Island interior and exterior painters
Quick answer
Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY, makes monthly social media content for interior and exterior painting companies across Long Island: the prep homeowners never see, color reveals shot true to the paint, and cabinet refinishing. Lead-safe setups appear only when your firm is certified. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
Updated
Anyone can show a freshly painted wall. What sells a painting company is the work before the first coat: scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, masking, and protecting the floors and furniture. We film the prep, the cutting in, and the reveal from the same angle, color matched to the paint on the job, and hand over a month of Reels, photos, and captions.
Color is the product, so we never grade a piece in a way that changes it. A gray that reads blue in a Reel is a promise the wall will not keep. Interiors are filmed in occupied homes only with the homeowner's written OK and nothing personal in frame. You post the pieces, or hand them to whoever runs your accounts.
Through the year
A painting year, in content
Exterior season and interior season give you two calendars. We plan both before the first ladder goes up.
Winter
Interiors and cabinets: rooms, kitchens, and trim, plus the owner on sheens, colors, and what good prep costs.
Spring
The first exteriors once the weather meets the temperatures on the product label, and the winter's peeling and mildew as before shots.
Summer
Full exteriors: scraping, priming, and the whole house in its new color from the street and from above.
Fall
The last exteriors of the year, decks and trim before the cold, then back inside for the holiday rush on interiors.
The work
What we make for a painting company
Pieces that show the prep, the precision, and the color as it really is.
Prep is the job
Scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking, cut fast, so the homeowner sees what the hours go to.
The color reveal
The room or the house before and after from the same angle, with the color matched to the paint on the job.
Cutting in
A painter's brush along a ceiling line or a window frame, close enough to see the steady hand.
Cabinets and trim
Kitchen cabinets from removed doors to rehung, and the trim and doors that make a room look finished.
The house in its new color
The whole exterior from the street, and by drone when it helps. Every drone flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot.
The owner on a choice
Flat or eggshell, oil or latex on trim, and why two coats, a minute each.

How we film a paint job
Rules that keep the color honest and the homeowner comfortable.
- Before and after are shot in the same light and graded the same way, so the color on screen matches the wall.
- We note the color name and brand you give us and put it in the caption only if you want it there.
- In an occupied home, family photos, mail, screens, and anything with a name on it stay out of frame.
- On homes built before 1978, we film lead-safe containment only if your firm is certified, and we never film work that skips it.
- Ladders are filmed set the way your crew sets them for the job. A clip of an unsafe setup is not delivered.
- House numbers, street signs, and the neighbors' houses stay out of frame on exteriors.
A content month
What a month looks like
Examples of how each tier tends to fill for a painting company. The content calendar sets the real mix around your season.
Partner
$1,500 per month
One content day on a job with a big change: an exterior in summer, a kitchen of cabinets in winter. Four to six finished pieces, for example a prep Reel, a color reveal, a cutting-in close-up, and a carousel, delivered within 5 business days.
Partner+
$2,750 per month
Two content days, one during prep and one at the reveal. One long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, such as the owner walking a finished exterior and explaining the prep behind it, ten short form pieces, and three to four static or carousel posts. 3 business day turnaround.
Flagship
$4,000 per month
A weekly presence that follows several crews through exterior and interior season: 16+ finished pieces a month, event coverage included, such as a showroom or supplier event, and 48 hour turnaround.

Your side
What your company provides
We do the planning, filming, editing, and captions. These stay with you.
- Homes whose owners have agreed to filming in writing, with a heads up on prep days and reveal days.
- Your Suffolk or Nassau County license number, and the company name as printed on the license, for every piece.
- Your EPA or state lead-safe firm certification, if you have one, before any pre-1978 job is filmed or advertised.
- The color names and brands on each job, so the caption gets them right.
- Someone to post the finished pieces and answer the comments and messages they bring in.
Rules
Rules that shape painting content
Which license applies, lead-safe certification, ladders on camera, and what an ad may show.
Painting and the county license rules
Suffolk County Code section 563-16 names painting of residential structures in its definition of home improvement contracting, and section 563-17(D) says all advertising for it shall contain the license number, though section 563-23(C) exempts a contractor engaged in the field of home maintenance or decorating. Nassau County's definition includes interior and exterior painting and leaves out decorating, and its rules require display advertising to carry the license number and full company name. Your licensing office can say which side of those lines your work falls on; we put the number you give us on every piece.

Lead-safe certification, and advertising it
The EPA says anyone paid to perform work that disturbs paint in housing and child-occupied facilities built before 1978 must be certified, names painters among the contractors it covers, and says firms cannot advertise or perform renovation activities covered by the rule in those buildings without firm certification. So a piece about scraping or sanding an older home goes out only if your firm is certified, and shows the lead-safe setup as your crew runs it.
Ladders on camera
OSHA's ladder standard for construction says a portable ladder used to reach an upper landing must extend at least 3 feet above it, and a non-self-supporting ladder is set so the base is about one quarter of the working length out from the top support. A Reel shows how your crew sets a ladder, so we film it set the way the job calls for.

The work shown has to be the work
Nassau County's home improvement rules say representations and illustrations of products or services offered to the public shall be accurately represented in all advertisements or descriptive material. So a before and after is your own job, shot as it is: no borrowed photos, and no rendering presented as finished work.
Written consent from everyone on camera
New York's Civil Rights Law section 50 makes it a misdemeanor to use a living person's name, portrait, picture, likeness, or voice for advertising or trade without their written consent, or a parent's or guardian's for a minor. That covers staff and customers alike, so a signed release comes before anyone appears in a piece.
A plain reading of each rule with its source, not legal advice. We are not your compliance department, and we do not pretend to be. Your compliance team or counsel has the final word on every piece.
Questions
Questions painting companies ask us
- Who makes social media content for painting companies on Long Island?
- Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY. We film prep, color reveals, cabinets, and exteriors for interior and exterior painters across Suffolk and Nassau County, and hand over a month of finished Reels, photos, and captions. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
- How much does monthly content cost for a painting company?
- Partner is $1,500, Partner+ is $2,750, and Flagship is $4,000 per month, each with a six-month minimum term, then month to month. Partner is 1 content day and 4 to 6 finished pieces a month. Partner+ is 2 content days, 1 long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, 10 short form pieces, and 3 to 4 static or carousel posts. Flagship is a weekly presence with 16+ pieces and event coverage included. The tiers are the same for a painting company as for any other business.
- Will the colors in the videos match the paint?
- That is the goal. We shoot the before and after in the same light, grade them the same way, and check the result against the paint on the job. We never push a color for a more dramatic Reel, because the homeowner who calls you will expect the wall to look like the video.
- Can you film us working on an older house?
- Yes, if your firm holds EPA or state lead-safe certification. The EPA says firms cannot advertise or perform covered renovation work in homes built before 1978 without it. We film the containment and cleanup as your crew runs them, and nothing that skips them.
- What should a painter post in the winter?
- Interiors and cabinets, which carry the winter months, plus the owner on sheens and colors, and the summer's exteriors cut into a long form walkthrough. Planning both seasons at once means the slow weeks are already covered.
- Do you post to our accounts or run our ads?
- No. We make the content and hand it over ready to post: the finished files and their captions, cut for each platform, in a shared folder. You post them, or pass them to whoever runs your accounts. We do not post, boost posts, or run ads, and we do not promise follower numbers.
