Power washing and exterior cleaning
Social media content for Long Island power washing and exterior cleaning companies
Quick answer
Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY, makes monthly social media content for power washing and exterior cleaning companies across Long Island: half-clean stripes on driveways, siding, decks, and roofs, before and afters graded the same way, soft washing explained, and where the wash water goes. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
Updated
Power washing is the most satisfying trade on a phone screen: a clean stripe through a gray driveway, a green roof turning back to its color. We film the stripe, the before and after from the same spot, the rig, and the crew, and hand over a month of Reels, photos, and captions cut for each platform.
That satisfaction only works if the clean is real. So the before and after are shot in the same light and graded the same way, nothing is brightened to look cleaner than it is, and the way your crew protects plantings and handles wash water is shown as you actually run it. You post the pieces, or hand them to whoever runs your accounts.
Through the year
An exterior cleaning year, in content
Pollen, mildew, and leaves set the calendar. Pieces filmed early are ready when homeowners start looking.
Spring
Pollen and the winter's green on siding and fences, and the first decks and patios of the year.
Summer
Roofs and soft washing, pool decks, and the long driveway stripes that carry a Reel.
Fall
Driveways and walkways before the holidays, and leaf stains on patios and pavers.
Winter
The rig and the shop: the trailer build, the equipment, and the owner on soft washing versus pressure for next season.
The work
What we make for a power washing company
Pieces built on the stripe, with the method explained so the clean looks earned.
The stripe
A single pass through a dirty surface, half clean and half not, filmed close and in slow motion.
Before and after, same light
A driveway, deck, siding, or roof from a marked spot at the start and the end, graded the same way.
Soft wash or pressure
Why a roof or siding gets a low-pressure wash and a driveway gets a surface cleaner, from the owner, in a minute.
The rig
The trailer, tanks, pumps, and reels, and the morning setup before the first job.
Roofs from above
A roof before and after soft washing, by drone, with the crew on the ground. Every drone flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot.
Protecting the yard
Pre-wetting plants, covering fixtures, and what your crew does with the runoff, shown as you actually do it.

How we film a cleaning job
Rules that keep the before and after honest.
- Before and after are shot from the same marked spot, in the same light where we can, and graded with the same settings.
- No brightening, saturation, or cleanup in the edit that makes a surface look cleaner than it is.
- Wash water, chemicals, and plant protection are filmed the way your crew handles them, never staged.
- Crew on ladders or a roof is filmed with the setup the job calls for. A clip of an unsafe setup is not delivered.
- The drone flies beside the work, never over the crew or the homeowners.
- House numbers, street signs, license plates, and the neighbors' houses stay out of frame.
A content month
What a month looks like
Examples of how each tier tends to fill for a power washing company. The content calendar sets the real mix around your season.
Partner
$1,500 per month
One content day on two or three jobs, such as a driveway, a deck, and a house wash. Four to six finished pieces, for example a stripe Reel, a before and after, a soft wash explainer, and a carousel, delivered within 5 business days.
Partner+
$2,750 per month
Two content days, often one on residential jobs and one on a roof or a commercial property. One long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, such as a full house wash with the owner explaining each step, ten short form pieces, and three to four static or carousel posts. 3 business day turnaround.
Flagship
$4,000 per month
A weekly presence through the season, following several rigs: 16+ finished pieces a month, event coverage included, such as a community cleanup you sponsor, and 48 hour turnaround.

- An owner or crew lead willing to explain a method on camera.
- Someone to post the finished pieces and answer the comments and messages they bring in.
Rules
Rules that shape power washing content
Licensing in each county, storm drains, honest before and afters, and ladders.
Licensing differs by county
Nassau County's home improvement definition names power washing and sandblasting, its Who Must Be Licensed list includes power washers and sandblasters, and its rules require display advertising to carry the license number and the full company name as printed on the license. Suffolk County Code section 563-16 does not name power washing, and section 563-23(C) exempts a contractor engaged in the field of home maintenance or decorating. Ask Suffolk's licensing office whether your work needs the license; we put any number you hold on every piece.

Wash water and storm drains
Federal rules require the operator of a covered small municipal storm sewer system, such as a town or village, to the extent local law allows, to effectively prohibit non-storm water discharges into the storm sewer system through an ordinance or other regulatory mechanism. The local rule is your town's or village's to set and enforce. We film your crew's wash water handling as it is, and a piece never shows wash water running into a storm drain.
The clean shown has to be the clean
Nassau County's home improvement rules say representations and illustrations of products or services offered to the public shall be accurately represented in all advertisements or descriptive material. So a before and after is graded the same way on both sides, and nothing is brightened to look cleaner than the surface is.
Ladders and roofs on camera
OSHA's ladder standard says a portable ladder used to reach an upper landing must extend at least 3 feet above it, and its fall protection standard covers work on roofs with unprotected edges 6 feet or more above a lower level. Crew on a ladder or a roof is filmed only with the setup the job calls for.
Written consent from everyone on camera
New York's Civil Rights Law section 50 makes it a misdemeanor to use a living person's name, portrait, picture, likeness, or voice for advertising or trade without their written consent, or a parent's or guardian's for a minor. That covers staff and customers alike, so a signed release comes before anyone appears in a piece.
A plain reading of each rule with its source, not legal advice. We are not your compliance department, and we do not pretend to be. Your compliance team or counsel has the final word on every piece.
Questions
Questions power washing companies ask us
- Who makes social media videos for power washing companies on Long Island?
- Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY. We film stripes, before and afters, soft washing, and the rig on jobs across Suffolk and Nassau County, and hand over a month of finished Reels, photos, and captions. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
- How much does monthly content cost for a power washing company?
- Partner is $1,500, Partner+ is $2,750, and Flagship is $4,000 per month, each with a six-month minimum term, then month to month. Partner is 1 content day and 4 to 6 finished pieces a month. Partner+ is 2 content days, 1 long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, 10 short form pieces, and 3 to 4 static or carousel posts. Flagship is a weekly presence with 16+ pieces and event coverage included. The tiers are the same for a power washing or exterior cleaning company as for any other business.
- Do you edit the before and after to look better?
- No. Both sides are shot from the same spot and graded with the same settings, and nothing is brightened or cleaned up in the edit. Nassau County's home improvement rules require services in ads to be accurately represented, and a viewer who books you will expect the result in the video.
- Can you film roof cleaning?
- Yes, from the ground and by drone when airspace and weather allow, with the drone beside the work and never over the crew. Every drone flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot. Core Media Co. is fully insured, and the coverage includes drone work.
- Does a power washing company need a license number on its posts?
- In Nassau County, power washing is named in the home improvement definition, and the county's rules require the license number and full company name in display advertising. Suffolk's definition does not name it, so ask Suffolk's licensing office. We put any number you hold on every piece.
- Do you post to our accounts or run our ads?
- No. We make the content and hand it over ready to post: the finished files and their captions, cut for each platform, in a shared folder. You post them, or pass them to whoever runs your accounts. We do not post, boost posts, or run ads, and we do not promise follower numbers.
