Siding, windows, and gutters
Social media content for Long Island siding, window, and gutter companies
Quick answer
Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY, makes monthly social media content for siding, window, and gutter companies across Long Island: one wall before and after, window replacements filmed inside and out, and gutter and guard installs. Work on homes built before 1978 is filmed only lead-safe. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
Updated
Exterior work changes the whole face of a house, and the best before and after is the simplest: one wall, the same frame, old siding and new. We film the tear-off, the wrap, the flashing around the openings, and the new courses going up, the old window coming out and the new one going in, and the gutters and guards on the last day, then hand over a month of Reels, photos, and captions.
Window jobs bring us inside, so the homeowner's written OK comes first and their belongings stay out of frame. Older homes bring the EPA's lead rule with them, so we film that work only lead-safe, as your crew runs it. You post the pieces, or hand them to whoever runs your accounts.
Through the year
An exterior year, in content
Winter damage, full re-sides, leaves, and drafty windows each have a season.
Spring
What the winter did: siding blown loose, gutters pulled down by ice, and failed caulk around windows. Inspection pieces and repairs.
Summer
Full re-sides and window packages, filmed wall by wall and opening by opening.
Fall
Gutters and guards before the leaves come down, and window replacements before the heating season.
Winter
Window swaps one opening at a time, the showroom and samples, and the owner on profiles, colors, and glass.
The work
What we make for a siding, window, or gutter company
Pieces that show the layers behind the cladding and the fit around every opening.
One wall, before and after
The same frame of one elevation, old cladding and new, cut together when the wall is done.
What is behind the siding
Sheathing, house wrap, and flashing around the windows, explained by your crew lead while it is open.
The window swap
Old sash out, new unit in, trimmed and sealed, filmed from outside and from the room with the homeowner's OK.
Gutters and guards
A seamless run formed on site, hung, and pitched, and the guard going on.
The house from the street
The finished exterior from the curb, and by drone when it helps. Every drone flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot.
Profiles, colors, and glass
The owner on siding profiles, trim, and window options, with any energy figure taken from the manufacturer's own documentation.

How we film an exterior job
What we do on every siding, window, and gutter job.
- On homes built before 1978, we film only if your firm is lead-safe certified, and the containment is shown as your crew runs it.
- Inside a home for a window swap, family photos, mail, screens, and anything with a name on it stay out of frame.
- House numbers are often on the siding itself, so they are kept out of frame or covered before we roll.
- Crew on ladders, staging, or a roof edge is filmed with the setup and fall protection the job calls for.
- Colors are graded to match the product, not pushed for a brighter Reel.
- Marked frames on the first day, so the before and after line up.

Your side
What your company provides
We do the planning, filming, editing, and captions. These stay with you.
- Homeowners who have agreed to filming in writing, inside and out.
- Your Suffolk or Nassau County home improvement license number, and the company name as printed on the license, for every piece.
- Your EPA or state lead-safe firm certification, if you work on homes built before 1978.
- The warranty terms and product details for anything a piece mentions.
- Someone to post the finished pieces and answer the comments and messages they bring in.
Rules
Rules that shape siding, window, and gutter content
County licensing, the EPA lead rule for window replacement, fall protection, and warranties.
Siding and windows are licensed in both counties
Suffolk County Code section 563-16 names siding in its definition of home improvement contracting, the county's licensing codes list windows and siding as a category, and section 563-17(D) says all advertising for home improvement contracting shall contain the license number. Nassau County lists doors, windows, and awnings, and siding installation, among the trades that need a home improvement license, and requires the license number and full company name in display advertising. Neither county list names gutters, so ask your licensing office about gutter-only work.

Window replacement and the lead rule
The EPA lists window replacement among the activities its Renovation, Repair and Painting rule covers in housing built before 1978, and says firms cannot advertise or perform covered renovation activities in those buildings without firm certification. So a window or siding piece on an older home goes out only if your firm is certified.
Fall protection and ladders
OSHA's construction standards require fall protection for employees 6 feet or more above a lower level in residential construction, unless another provision allows an alternative, and say a portable ladder used to reach an upper landing must extend at least 3 feet above it. Crew at height is filmed only with that setup in place.
Warranties in Nassau County ads
Nassau County's home improvement rules say that where an ad refers to a warranty or guarantee, it shall be clearly disclosed, including what it covers and its terms. If a piece mentions a manufacturer or workmanship warranty, the terms you give us go in the caption.
Written consent from everyone on camera
New York's Civil Rights Law section 50 makes it a misdemeanor to use a living person's name, portrait, picture, likeness, or voice for advertising or trade without their written consent, or a parent's or guardian's for a minor. That covers staff and customers alike, so a signed release comes before anyone appears in a piece.
A plain reading of each rule with its source, not legal advice. We are not your compliance department, and we do not pretend to be. Your compliance team or counsel has the final word on every piece.
Questions
Questions siding, window, and gutter companies ask us
- Who makes social media content for siding and window companies on Long Island?
- Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY. We film re-sides, window replacements, and gutter installs on homes across Suffolk and Nassau County, and hand over a month of finished Reels, photos, and captions. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
- How much does monthly content cost for a siding or window company?
- Partner is $1,500, Partner+ is $2,750, and Flagship is $4,000 per month, each with a six-month minimum term, then month to month. Partner is 1 content day and 4 to 6 finished pieces a month. Partner+ is 2 content days, 1 long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, 10 short form pieces, and 3 to 4 static or carousel posts. Flagship is a weekly presence with 16+ pieces and event coverage included. The tiers are the same for a siding, window, or gutter company as for any other business.
- Can you film window replacements inside the home?
- Yes, with the homeowner's written consent. Family photos, mail, screens, and anything with a name on it stay out of frame, and anyone who appears on camera signs a release first. On homes built before 1978, we film only if your firm is lead-safe certified.
- What is the best before and after for a siding job?
- One wall from one marked spot, the old cladding and the new. It reads in two seconds on a phone. We add the layers behind it, the wrap and the flashing around the windows, while the wall is open, so the finished shot has a reason behind it.
- Can our videos mention energy savings?
- Only with a figure from the manufacturer's own documentation for the product you installed, stated the way the manufacturer states it. We do not write savings numbers of our own, and Nassau County's rules require a warranty mentioned in an ad to be clearly disclosed with its terms.
- Do you post to our accounts or run our ads?
- No. We make the content and hand it over ready to post: the finished files and their captions, cut for each platform, in a shared folder. You post them, or pass them to whoever runs your accounts. We do not post, boost posts, or run ads, and we do not promise follower numbers.
