Nail salons and lash and brow studios
Social media content for Long Island nail salons and lash and brow studios
Quick answer
Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY, makes monthly social media content for nail salons and lash and brow studios across Long Island: nail sets and art, lash fills, and brows, in close-up. Each set is shown as it was done, and clients sign a release before their face appears. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
Updated
Nail, lash, and brow work is small, and it sells on detail: a clean cuticle line, a chrome finish catching the light, a lash set that looks even from every angle. We film it the way it deserves, with macro lenses and steady light, plus the techs and artists who do it, and hand over a month of Reels, photos, and captions.
Much of this work can be filmed with only hands or a closed eye in frame, which makes it easier for clients to say yes. A close-up of a face is still a likeness, so lash and brow clients sign a release, and every set is shown as it was done, with no filter or retouching on the work. You post the pieces, or hand them to whoever runs your accounts.

How we film a nail or lash studio
Rules we keep on every studio shoot, on top of the overview's.
- Each set is shown as it was done: no filter, smoothing, or retouching on the nails, lashes, or brows.
- Hands-only shots still have the client's OK, and a release if a face, a tattoo, or a voice is in the piece.
- Lash and brow clients sign a release before any shot that shows their face.
- The tech or artist shown doing a service holds the license that covers it under General Business Law section 401.
- Lash and brow tinting is shown only with the products the studio uses for it, and we do not caption a tint as permanent.
- Tools are shown as the studio cleans and uses them.

Your side
What your studio provides
We do the planning, filming, editing, and captions. These stay with you.
- Clients for each content day who have agreed to be filmed, with a signed release for any face.
- Techs and artists willing to be on camera, each with a signed release.
- Product names and any claim about how long a set or a tint lasts, worded as you stand behind it.
- Prices and service names exactly as you want them published.
- Someone to post the finished pieces and answer the comments and messages they bring in.
Rules
Rules that shape nail and lash content
Which license covers which service, tints near the eye, honest close-ups, and consent.
Each service has its license
New York's General Business Law section 400 defines nail specialty to include applying and removing sculptured or artificial nails, esthetics to include makeup, eyelashes, waxes, and tweezing, and waxing as hair removal by depilatories, waxes, or tweezing. Section 401 requires a license for each, and a business license for the studio. So the person a piece shows doing a service holds the license that covers it.
Lash and brow tints near the eye
The FDA says permanent eyelash and eyebrow tints and dyes have been known to cause serious eye injuries, including blindness. It allows silver nitrate as a color additive for eyebrows and eyelashes only in products for professional use, not for persons under 16, and tells consumers to avoid color additives not approved for the eye area, such as permanent eyelash tints. We do not caption a tint as permanent, and we film tinting only with the studio's own products.

The set shown is the set done
New York's General Business Law section 350 declares false advertising unlawful, and section 350-a defines it as advertising that is misleading in a material respect, judged by representations made by statement, word, design, device, sound, or any combination of them. A filter that smooths a cuticle or evens out a lash line changes what the client is being shown, so the edit leaves the work alone.
Clients on camera
New York's Civil Rights Law section 50 makes it a misdemeanor to use a living person's name, portrait, picture, likeness, or voice for advertising or trade without their written consent, or a parent's or guardian's for a minor, and section 51 lets that person sue to stop the use and recover damages. A client in the chair agreed to a service, not to an ad, so each one signs a release before a piece shows their face, and a before and after counts as their likeness too.
A plain reading of each rule with its source, not legal advice. We are not your compliance department, and we do not pretend to be. Your compliance team or counsel has the final word on every piece.
Questions
Questions nail and lash studios ask us
- Who makes social media content for nail salons on Long Island?
- Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY. We film nail sets, nail art, lash fills, and brows in close-up for studios across Suffolk and Nassau County, and hand over a month of finished Reels, photos, and captions. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
- How much does monthly content cost for a nail or lash studio?
- Partner is $1,500, Partner+ is $2,750, and Flagship is $4,000 per month, each with a six-month minimum term, then month to month. Partner is 1 content day and 4 to 6 finished pieces a month. Partner+ is 2 content days, 1 long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, 10 short form pieces, and 3 to 4 static or carousel posts. Flagship is a weekly presence with 16+ pieces and event coverage included. The tiers are the same for a nail or lash studio as for any other business.
- Do clients have to sign a release if only their hands are shown?
- We ask the client either way, and a release is signed whenever a face, a tattoo, a ring someone would recognize, or a voice is in the piece. New York's Civil Rights Law section 50 requires written consent to use a person's likeness for advertising.
- Can you film lash and brow tinting?
- Yes, with the products your studio uses for it. The FDA says permanent eyelash and eyebrow tints have caused serious eye injuries and allows silver nitrate only in professional products, not for anyone under 16, so we do not caption a tint as permanent.
- Will you edit the nails to look perfect?
- No. We light and frame the set so it looks its best, and leave the work itself alone: no smoothing, filter, or retouching on the nails, lashes, or brows. A client should see the set they will get.
- Do you post to our accounts or run our ads?
- No. We make the content and hand it over ready to post: the finished files and their captions, cut for each platform, in a shared folder. You post them, or pass them to whoever runs your accounts. We do not post, boost posts, or run ads, and we do not promise follower numbers.
