Med spas and aesthetic practices
Social media content for Long Island med spas and aesthetic practices
Quick answer
Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY, makes monthly social media content for med spas and aesthetic practices across Long Island: providers on their treatments, the rooms, and patient stories. Injections and lasers are shown only in licensed hands, and patients appear only with the practice's written consent. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
Updated
A patient choosing where to get a treatment wants to know who will be holding the needle or the laser, what the room looks like, and what the result will be. We film your providers explaining treatments, the rooms and the equipment, and patients who have agreed to share their experience, and hand over a month of Reels, photos, and captions.
Aesthetic medicine is the most regulated work on this site. New York treats injections and most lasers as medical procedures, a before and after is a claim about results, and patient privacy is your practice's responsibility. We build every piece so that it never suggests someone without a medical license is doing medical work, and the claims and consents stay with the practice. You post the pieces, or hand them to whoever runs your accounts.

Spring
Skin before summer, events on the calendar, and what to book how far ahead.
Summer
Sun care, which treatments the provider holds off on in strong sun, and maintenance.

The holidays
Gift cards, holiday party timing, and the last appointments of the year.
The work
What we make for a med spa
Pieces that build trust in the provider before anyone books.
The provider on a treatment
Your physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or nurse explaining what a treatment is, who it suits, and what recovery looks like, named with their credential.
The consult
What happens at a first visit, filmed as a walkthrough with a staff member or a patient who has consented.
The room and the equipment
Treatment rooms and devices, filmed empty and clean, so a first visit holds no surprises.
A patient's story
A patient the practice has asked, with its written consent and our release, talking unscripted about their experience.
Before and after
The practice's own clinical photos, taken under its protocol, presented with the typical result the practice supplies.
Aftercare and questions
A minute from the provider on aftercare, timing, and the questions patients ask most.

How we film a med spa
Rules we keep on every practice shoot, on top of the overview's.
- An injection, laser, or other medical procedure is filmed only with the licensed provider performing it, and an esthetician is never shown, captioned, or described doing one.
- Providers are named with their credential exactly as the practice gives it to us.
- Patients appear only after the practice has collected its own consent, and our release is signed as well.
- Charts, screens, the schedule, and anything with patient information on it stay out of frame. We do not ask for or receive patient records.
- Before and afters are the practice's own photos, unaltered, with the practice's typical result line.
- Treatment rooms are filmed empty unless a consenting patient is being treated.

Partner+
$2,750 per month
Two content days, one on providers and treatments and one on patient stories and the practice. One long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, such as the medical director on how the practice decides who is a candidate for a treatment, ten short form pieces, and three to four static or carousel posts. 3 business day turnaround.

Your side
What your practice provides
We do the planning, filming, editing, and captions. These stay with you.
- Providers' names and credentials exactly as they hold them, and the medical director's review of every piece before it is posted.
- Patients who have agreed to be filmed, with the practice's own written consent collected first.
- Every claim about a treatment or a result, and the typical result line for any before and after.
- Your counsel's view on HIPAA and on any patient content.
- Someone to post the finished pieces and answer the comments and messages they bring in.
Rules
Rules that shape med spa content
Who can be shown doing what, results claims, patient privacy, and consent.
Medical procedures belong to licensed providers
The New York Department of State lists injections of any drug or filler, laser procedures other than laser hair removal, and microneedling as medical procedures, and says any business offering them or promoting med spa services must be licensed as a medical facility. Education Law section 6512 makes it a felony to practice, offer to practice, or hold oneself out as able to practice a licensed profession without a license, or to aid or abet an unlicensed person. So no piece shows or implies that someone without a medical license is doing medical work.
The state is checking
On January 8, 2026, the Department of State said it had inspected 223 businesses offering med spa services with the Department of Health, the State Education Department, and New York City, and cited 87 for possible violations including the unlawful practice of medicine. It also says a provider organized as a PC or PLLC cannot have the word spa in its name. We caption with your practice's name as it is registered.
Results need support, and testimonials are not it
The FTC's Health Products Compliance Guidance, December 2022, says testimonials that report results more dramatic than users can generally expect are likely to be deceptive, and that a results not typical line does not fix that. Its Endorsement Guides, at 16 CFR 255.2, add that consumer endorsements are not competent and reliable scientific evidence. Every claim about what a treatment does is the practice's, and it needs the practice's support.
Patient privacy stays with the practice
Under 45 CFR 160.103, a business associate is a person who creates, receives, maintains, or transmits protected health information for a covered entity, or provides certain services that involve the covered entity disclosing it. Whether your practice is a covered entity, and what any vendor arrangement requires, is for your counsel. We do not give HIPAA advice, and we do not ask for or receive patient records. Patient consent is collected by the practice before we film.
Clients on camera
New York's Civil Rights Law section 50 makes it a misdemeanor to use a living person's name, portrait, picture, likeness, or voice for advertising or trade without their written consent, or a parent's or guardian's for a minor, and section 51 lets that person sue to stop the use and recover damages. A client in the chair agreed to a service, not to an ad, so each one signs a release before a piece shows their face, and a before and after counts as their likeness too.
A plain reading of each rule with its source, not legal advice. We are not your compliance department, and we do not pretend to be. Your compliance team or counsel has the final word on every piece.
Questions
Questions med spas ask us
- Who makes social media content for med spas on Long Island?
- Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, NY. We film providers, treatment rooms, and consenting patients for med spas and aesthetic practices across Suffolk and Nassau County, and hand over a month of finished Reels, photos, and captions. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
- How much does monthly content cost for a med spa?
- Partner is $1,500, Partner+ is $2,750, and Flagship is $4,000 per month, each with a six-month minimum term, then month to month. Partner is 1 content day and 4 to 6 finished pieces a month. Partner+ is 2 content days, 1 long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, 10 short form pieces, and 3 to 4 static or carousel posts. Flagship is a weekly presence with 16+ pieces and event coverage included. The tiers are the same for a med spa as for any other business.
- Can our estheticians appear in videos about injectables or lasers?
- They can appear in the practice, but never shown, captioned, or described doing a medical procedure. The Department of State lists injections and most laser procedures as medical, and Education Law section 6512 covers anyone who holds out an unlicensed person as able to practice. The provider doing the procedure is the one on camera.
- Are you HIPAA compliant?
- We do not make HIPAA claims or give HIPAA advice; whether a practice is covered and what it needs from vendors is for its counsel. We do not ask for or receive patient records, we keep charts and screens out of frame, and patients appear only after the practice has collected its own written consent.
- Can we post before and after photos?
- Yes, your own patients' photos with their consent, unaltered, and with the typical result the practice can support. The FTC says testimonials showing more dramatic results than patients can generally expect are likely deceptive, and that a results not typical line does not fix it.
- Do you post to our accounts or run our ads?
- No. We make the content and hand it over ready to post: the finished files and their captions, cut for each platform, in a shared folder. You post them, or pass them to whoever runs your accounts. We do not post, boost posts, or run ads, and we do not promise follower numbers.
