Patchogue, NY

Social media content for Patchogue businesses, filmed downtown, day or night.

Quick answer

Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James, makes monthly social media content for Patchogue businesses: restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, and studios on Main Street and around the arts district. We film by day or after dark and hand over finished Reels, photos, and captions, ready to post. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.

Updated

Patchogue is on the south shore, across the island from our studio on Lake Avenue. Its downtown runs late: restaurants, bars, galleries, and a historic theater on Main Street, and a lot of what makes a Patchogue business worth following happens after dark. We film at your place, at whatever hour shows it best, and turn it into a month of content.

Each month we plan the pieces with you, film them in one or two content days, and hand over short form video, photos, and carousel posts with captions, cut for each platform and ready to post. You post them, or hand them to whoever runs your accounts, and you own the finished work.

Patchogue

Main Street, the arts district, and the bay

Patchogue is an incorporated village in the Town of Brookhaven, on the shore of Patchogue Bay, part of the Great South Bay. Its downtown is Main Street, which is Montauk Highway inside the village, kept up by the village itself, and the Four Corners where West and East Main Street meet North and South Ocean Avenue. The village owns the historic Patchogue Theatre on East Main Street, which first opened in 1923 and is run by a nonprofit, and Terry Street was rezoned and named an official arts district in 2018.

In its 2018 application for the state's Downtown Revitalization Initiative, the village described an entertainment district with more than 40 restaurants, and restaurants and bars that give downtown a vibrant night life. The village has a Business Improvement District, the Long Island Rail Road's Montauk Branch stops at Patchogue, and a seasonal passenger ferry crosses the bay from Patchogue to Watch Hill on Fire Island, whose visitor season runs from May to mid-October.

Who it is for

Businesses on Main Street and around the arts district

For businesses people choose on a phone before a night out, a show, or a Saturday downtown.

  • Restaurants

The kitchen, the plates, and the dining room, filmed before service, or during one with releases from anyone on camera.

  • Bars and breweries

The pour, the room, and the crowd, filmed at night when the place looks like itself.

  • Galleries, studios, and makers

The work, the space, and the person behind it, in and around the arts district.

  • Music and event venues

A sound check, a full room, and the night itself, for venues that always have something coming up.

  • Shops and boutiques

New arrivals, the window, and the owner, filmed before the doors open.

  • Salons, gyms, and wellness studios

The space, the team, and the work, filmed by day.

Title agencies and lenders have their own pages, with notes on how the work is structured: title agencies and mortgage lenders.

On the day

Planning a content day in downtown Patchogue

Downtown Patchogue runs late and closes its main street for its biggest nights, so the calendar matters as much as the shot list.

  • Parking, day and night

The village's downtown parking guide has the municipal lots free from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and metered from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., street parking metered from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., and meters enforced Monday to Saturday. Village parking permits are not valid on Main Street. A daytime shoot is the easy one for parking, and a night shoot plans for the lot meters.

  • Filming on the street

Most content days stay inside your business. Filming on the street goes through the village, which charges a standard film permit fee, and the Board of Trustees has approved a photo shoot on West Main Street by permit application. The Suffolk County Film Commission lists the Deputy Clerk at Village Hall as the contact.

  • The big nights downtown

For the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce's Alive After Five, the village approved closing Main Street from Maple Avenue to West Avenue on four summer Thursdays in 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and the Great South Bay Music Festival ran from July 23 to 26. Those are nights for event coverage, not for a quiet interview, and we plan regular content days around them.

  • The water and the seasons

The Watch Hill visitor season on Fire Island runs from May to mid-October, and the Holiday Boat Parade comes down the Patchogue River in late November. If your business lives off the bay or the river, the content calendar follows those seasons.

A content month

What a month of content looks like

Three tiers, the same ones on the For Business page and the same in every town. Partner is $1,500, Partner+ is $2,750, and Flagship is $4,000 per month, each with a six-month minimum term, then month to month. Every tier includes a content calendar planned in advance.

Examples of how each tier tends to fill for a Patchogue restaurant, bar, or shop. The content calendar sets the real mix before anything is filmed.

  1. Partner

    $1,500 per month

One content day, often split between the afternoon and the first hour of service so the month has both the quiet room and the full one. Four to six finished pieces, for example a Reel of the room at night, a menu or drink feature, a staff introduction, and a carousel, delivered within 5 business days.

  2. Partner+

    $2,750 per month

Two content days, one by day and one at night, or one for the business and one for an event you host. One long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, such as the story of the place told by the owner, ten short form pieces, and three to four static or carousel posts. 3 business day turnaround.

  3. Flagship

    $4,000 per month

A weekly presence for a place with something on every week: 16+ finished pieces a month, 48 hour turnaround, and event coverage included, such as a live music night, a launch, or your night at Alive After Five.

Process

How a shoot day at your business works

  1. Discovery call, 20 minutes

We ask about your goals, your customers, and what you want to be known for. No filming yet.

  2. Content plan, one week

You get a month-one calendar with concepts and formats before anyone points a camera, so you know which pieces are Reels and which are posts.

  3. Content day at your place

Half a day at your shop, restaurant, salon, or office, or at our studio on Lake Avenue in Saint James. We bring the full setup and batch the month's pieces in one visit.

  4. Delivery, ready to post

Finished pieces in your shared folder, edited, formatted for each platform, and handed over with captions. You post them.

  5. Monthly rhythm

Same day each month, plus a short check-in on what performed.

"This was my first project with Core Media. As a realtor I always have videos of my listings but on this very special new construction, I need something truly different and special. Core Media took my photos and made a video come to life showing real people in all different rooms. This gave me a new way to showcase the home and really portray what it looks like to live there. Realistic plus many creative twists, made this video a show stopper. I highly recommend them."

Questions

Questions Patchogue businesses ask us

Who makes social media content for businesses in Patchogue, NY?
Core Media Co., a photography and video studio at 523 Lake Avenue in Saint James. We film restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, and studios on Main Street and around the arts district, by day or after dark, and hand over a month of finished Reels, photos, and captions, ready to post. Plans run $1,500 to $4,000 per month with a six-month minimum.
Can you film at night, during service?
Yes. For a bar, a restaurant, or a venue, the evening is often the point. We film around your service with a small crew, ask anyone who appears on camera to sign a release, and keep anyone who has not out of frame. The downtown lots are metered from 6 p.m., so we plan for that too.
Do we need a permit to film in downtown Patchogue?
We plan most content days inside your business, so the street is rarely involved. Filming on Main Street or another village street goes through the village, which has a film permit; the Suffolk County Film Commission lists the Deputy Clerk at Village Hall as the contact. If a shot would need more than your own space, we tell you before the day. This is a planning note, not legal advice.
Do you work on the south shore, or only the north shore?
Both. The studio is in Saint James on the north shore, and we work across Suffolk and Nassau County. A Patchogue content day is planned the same way as one next door to the studio.
How much does monthly content cost for a Patchogue business?
Partner is $1,500, Partner+ is $2,750, and Flagship is $4,000 per month, each with a six-month minimum term, then month to month. Partner is 1 content day and 4 to 6 finished pieces a month. Partner+ is 2 content days, 1 long form video of 5 to 10 minutes, 10 short form pieces, and 3 to 4 static or carousel posts. Flagship is a weekly presence with 16+ pieces and event coverage included. A business in Patchogue pays the same tiers as a business next door to the studio.
